4SELLERS Shipping Rules
4SELLERS Shipping Rules replaces Shopify's flat-rate and weight-based shipping with rules you define yourself. A rule combines zones, methods, rate tiers, restrictions and product classes into one condition-based decision — and tells you, per criterion, why it applied or why it did not.
Core features
- Shipping classes — group products (for example Standard, Fragile, Bulky goods) and charge a surcharge per class.
- Shipping zones — define delivery areas by country, postal code and postal code range.
- Shipping methods — the options your customers pick at checkout, such as Standard or Express.
- Shipping rules — the core of the app: link zones, methods and classes with rate tiers and AND/OR restriction groups.
- Preview — run any cart through your setup in the admin before it goes live.
Where your data lives
Your rules, zones, methods and shipping classes are stored as metaobjects in your own Shopify store, not in a database of ours. The only thing on our servers is the authentication session for your store — and those servers are our own, in Germany, with no external hosting provider and no subprocessors. Before you start
The app registers a carrier service in your store. Shopify only forwards checkout requests to a carrier service if your store is eligible for third-party calculated shipping rates. If the registration fails, that is almost always the reason — see Troubleshooting.
